Backups are an extremely important part of web hosting. Although customers are suppose to keep their own backups (and they should!), we quiet often find our selves being requested for assistance with restoring backups because a customer has accidentally destroyed, or had their website compromised and destroyed.

Aquarius Storage shared hosting customers, do not fret. Your data is safe with us!

Aquarius Storage now fully supports R1Soft on ALL of our shared web hosting plans.

What does this mean?

Aquarius Storage’s Affordable Web Hosting plans now provide an interface for the customer to login to their control panel, and view all of the restore points for their website.

We do daily backups of your data, (MySQL, Files, etc) and store them on off-site servers. In the case of hardware failure, or failure on your end to delete the correct file(s), we are able to do restores. You are also able to initiate your own restores from your cPanel by clicking on “R1Soft”

On average, there should be 5-7 restore points for you to choose from.

This is a great addition to the Aquarius Storage feature set, and hope that all customers will enjoy it.

As we said, this is included, FOR FREE, on all Affordable (shared) hosting plans here at Aquarius Storage.

With North Korea threatening to blow us (The United States) off the map, well… LOL. Just wanted to wish everyone a little early, but happy Independence Day We’ll be sure to go and see lots of fireworks over the next few days, and maybe will even post some pictures if you guys are REALLY nice

After many hours of working around the clock to finish migrating over a few clients who decided to wait till the last minute to purchase a new VPS with us on our new platform as we finished phasing our our old platform which utilized HyperVM, I am happy to say we have completed the move. We will be heavily marketing our new Virtuozzo VPS systems to offset the MUCH higher license fees for the software. In comparison, HyperVM was only .50cents per license. Virtuozzo, starting off, on the other hand, was 20$ per license. We’ve gotten the price down a bit since we’re able to purchase in bulk, however because of the way Virtuozzo licensing works, we’re only limited to how ever many VPS systems we’re able to pull on one server. For each node, we have to start over back at 20$/per month licensing prices until we get enough on the node to get it lower. Besides that, we’re still learning a lot about Virtuozzo, but our new platform is very stable, and a great improvement over our HyperVM platform and machines we had with Singlehop. Oh, did I mention we moved all VPS customers from Singlehop to SoftLayer which is located in Dallas Texas. And our VPS nodes now consist of Dual Quard core Intel 5540’s with 32GB of RAM and RAID 10? A nice step up indeed. Hope everyone enjoys the new platform, network, and equipment which result in a better, more stable VPS for all of our customers. Drum roll please….

It’s amazing how this one matches our web site better . This one looks less like a log cabin with busy work on both sides of it, and more like the logo we was going for. Our logo will no longer looks like a big pimple on our web site!
